The Splatoon x The Legend of Zelda Splatfest event starts May 5

Yep, a rather epic event starts this Friday. The next Splatfest* for the Splatoon™ 3 game features a collab with the Legend of Zelda™ series. Talk about your mashups!

Woah! Uh…what’s a Splatfest?

Glad you asked. If you haven’t played Splatoon 3 before, Splatfests are limited time online events where players choose to join one of three teams and battle it out against each other. Each Splatfest has a specific question and a set of three answers that players are fighting to champion—obviously, the winner of the Splatfest ends the debate for the rest of recordable time.

(Well, not quite. But it’s still fun...)

The question for this Splatfest is: Which do you seek? Power, Wisdom, or Courage?

When is the event?

Friday, May 5 at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, May 7 at 5:00 p.m. PDT.

What are the battles like?

During a Splatfest battle, the goal is to ink as much of the stage as you can without getting splatted too often. At the end of the event, the winning side will be revealed, and in-game Super Sea Snails will be handed out. The winning side will earn more.

How do I participate?

You will need Splatoon 3 and any Nintendo Switch Online membership*. Once you’re in the game, head over to the festival stall to sign up for the event.

If you don’t have the game yet, a limited-time bundle containing Splatoon 3 and a 3-month individual membership for Nintendo Switch Online is also on sale.
